Wally, Rock and Ike

Now, along comes Wally - Wurst's Don Pasquale, to be exact. I was in desperate need of a small dog. I'm not getting any younger, you know and handling these Bloodhounds is no chore for a little old lady! After 4 years of research, I finally decided on a French Bulldog. Tough minded, tough bodied is what I was wanting. Wally was 9 months old when I got him in May of '97 and he couldn't have worked out better. The Bloodhounds wouldn't intentionally hurt him, but they do get carried away when playing and this guy just bounces right back. He's 22# of pure brick. He's been to a couple shows and has both his majors, so I guess we'll do it again. We do have one problem though, he's not too keen on having his toenails clipped. Being used to the Bloodhounds and having something to hold on to when doing theirs, I am having a bit of a problem finding something on this guy to grab hold of. Most of the time, he kind of wins and it might take us a week to get them all - but we get them!

Wally died tragically in August, 1998. I was so distraught over his loss that I found I couldn't be without another Frenchie to help me through it. As a result, I was very lucky to have come upon Rock (Thundermoon's Gonna Fly Now), thanks to Constance Parker. Rock is now fully entrenched in our little family having barreled in as if he was born here. We'll be giving Rock a try at the shows this fall. Check out some pictures of Rock.

Rock expressed a desire to have a little buddy more his size around the house. So just to accommodate him, we invited Ike (Esensi's Animated Icon) to join our family in March, 1999. He arrived at the tender age of 14 weeks, and has managed to become a full-fledged family member in a very short time. Take a look at a few pictures of Ike.

Tom and Linda Heins and I found a little guy that we had to add to our little group. His name is Zip and he lives happily with his adoring family, Tom, Linda and TJ Heins. He has his own bloodhounds and true to form, he rules!
