Do you remember....wasn't it yesterday,
When you and I first met?
When all the world seemed like a ray,
of sunshine not yet set.

It seemed to be a natural,
to bring you home with me.
You didn't waiver...not at all,
at what your life would be.

We looked at life a lot alike,
just let the world go by.
Whatever it was came up the pike,
would work for you and I.

No matter what I asked of you,
no matter what the test,
you never raised your voice or grew
impatient with my quest.

You grew to be a thing of beauty,
and off to shows we'd go.
Sometimes you saw it as your duty,
to steal the whole darn show.

You proved to be a wonderful Mother,
so proud we are of your crew.
They'll be the proof to every other,
how very special were you.

I was still so proud of my little girl,
when I watched your face grow white.
You were much more valuable than any pearl,
and I fought it with all my might.

But on that day I saw in your eyes,
the look I wanted to miss.
No matter how strong I made my cries,
no time was better than this.

And so to you my Little Pridey,
I gave my final gift.
I watched as you went to face your All Mighty.
Sweet memories...is what I have left.

Sleep well my "Perfect Little Pridey Girl".
