Pride in 1990 at 3 years of age
This is Pride. What can I say about Pride except that she is what her name says-she's my Pride and joy, my little Pridey girl. Pride is the matron around here. She's the mother of Ashley and Stoni--the towel eating, hyperactive devil dog (how that happened is beyond me!). Pride's favorite pasttimes are to guard the couch by day and the bed by night and to eat. Beyond those activities, she needs little more in the way of material things. She likes to have her ears rubbed, but she always thinks that after she allows you to do that she deserves a treat. Of course, she usually gets it. Pride was never very predictable in the show ring. She has a super front, a pretty head, nice type and beautiful movement when she's got the room. However, you never knew what mood she would be in until you got into the ring. She would either really show herself or show me, but you never knew til it was too late. Pride and I have a special bond--we're both basically lazy. She's retired now. Her only duty is her couch and bed patrol and she's a whiz at that. She's now approaching 9 years old-almost a perfect 10. In my eyes, she IS perfect.
Pride was put to rest on 9/18/98. She was almost 11 years old. See my tribute to "My Perfect Little Pridey Girl"
