Ashley
Ashley was a young woman then. A debutante who had just won her most important beauty contest. She was smug and self-assured now that she had her new title. She was now referred to as CH Sherick-Flatwater Prairiefire or "Her Highness" for short. Indeed, she had a beautiful face and a gorgeous figure and looked like a million bucks in her black and tan evening gown. She would attract many young, eligible suitors.But as so often happens, she was swept off her feet by an older more worldly man. Tally had years behind him and experience galore. He was nobility. CH Sherick's Talbot Nose Best CD was his name and he acted much younger than his years. His chiseled face and well developed chest cut a very handsome figure in his liver and tan uniform.
Ashley didn't have a chance against Tally's suave, fun-loving and debonair approach. On a short vacation in the big city--Kansas City, Ashley met Tally and it was all over. Yes, he took advantage of her while she was away from the security of her home. He had his way with her on 3 occasions. Then he dumped her. He had no ideas of a long-term relationship. He was a confirmed bachelor.
Ashley returned home depressed and confused. For awhile she would have nothing to do with her parents and sister. Webster and Pride had raised her to be the best she could be and Stoni idolized her sister. Now she was sure she would be a disappointment to them. She was sure that she was in a maternal way and about to become just another "unwed Mother".
As it turns out, she got lucky and no babies resulted. However, her human mom is quite fond of the gentleman and plans to try to get them together again in a few months.
