The primary function of Search and Rescue organizations around the world is to save lives in cases of disaster. The use of canines, to successfully respond to people in distress, has been a practice for centuries, and this humanitarian tradition carries on today. These trained men and women and especially the trained dogs of the SAR's are true modern day heroes. |
